Being the market leader in terms of Austrian institutional Custody with a market share of about 70 %, Bank Austria has focused on the CEE markets since their opening in 1990.

The Custody business is a core product line of our organisation and it is our clear goal to be the "Top Provider" in CEE. It is our strategy to permanently strengthen and extend our services in CEE countries as well as to improve our services to fully meet the requirements of international clients. These improvements cover system enhancements, product developments and quality standards of our services and our staff.

Building on a traditional market leadership in Austria, the Group has focused on the CEE markets since their opening in the early 1990s. UniCredit Group serves both international clients - global custodian banks, brokerage houses and investment banks - as well as local financial institutions such as pension funds, insurance companies and asset managers.

In a pursuit to permanently strengthen and extend the services in CEE countries UniCredit Group GSS constantly undertakes system enhancements, product developments and improvements of quality standards in terms of services and staff.

UniCredit Group employs 230 professionals in Institutional Custody. A centralized steering unit for all CEE markets grants for a harmonized face towards the client.
